Happy Swimmers private lifeguard service began in 1991 in Los Angeles, and over the years, we’ve expanded to many Southwest cities, in the aim of truly preventing many of the drowning and near drowning we read about in the news. In 2009 we opened in your delightful city of live music, Austin. We are the largest private lifeguard service in the country, and locally serving the Austin Metro area.

Hello All!
My name is Caitlin. I moved to Texas about 5 years ago and now currently reside in Austin. I have been swimming since I can remember and all my summers were spent in the water so it was a natural progression to teaching and lifeguarding. Starting at a local YWCA during high school, I coached and lifeguarded for a youth swim team during University, and then moved onto lifeguarding on the beaches of Hilton Head Island, SC. I have been a Red Cross certified lifeguard for 10 years now and simply love the challenge and rewards of working with children in the water. I have had experience with special needs children including autism, ADD, ADHD, and Downs Syndrome. . I am currently certified as a Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor which includes CPR, First Aid, AED, O2 Admin, Bloodbourne Pathogens, and WSI.

I have 4 years of life-guarding experience, 1 year of swim instructing experience, 11 years of competitive swimming experience (Palo Alto Swim Club and Henry M. Gunn High School), and 8 years of competitive water polo experience (Stanford Club Water Polo, Henry M. Gunn High School, and U.C. Davis Women’s Club Water Polo). It is my goal to ensure the safety and well-being of the children I am responsible for while providing a safe and fun environment.
