The Heat is on in Miami! The most popular tourist destination in the world reflects the unique, vibrant and culturally rich communities in the southern tip of Florida. A tropical paradise first explored by the Spaniards, Miami has become the hot spot of Florida, and we serve it all. The colorful and playful architecture reflects the diversity of the Latin American culture that Miami is so well known for. Communities such as Coral Gables, South Beach, Little Havana, Miami Shores and North Miami Beach celebrate their diversity through the foods, worship, and recreation opportunities. Families can paddle through the mangrove swamps or over a sunken treasure ship in nearby John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Swimming with a dolphin, offshore fishing, or collecting seashells at a beach party in Crandon Park Beach are some of the memories made in South Florida.
Happy Swimmers is as unique, vibrant and diverse as the communities we service. With extensive experience, our lifeguards and swim instructors respect and relate to the rich cultures of the Miami area. Whether it’s being able to converse in the Spanish language (some of our staff are Spanish speaking) or being cognizant of cultural values, Happy Swimmers believes that it’s the personal relationship formed with the client that makes the difference!

Hi, my name is Blake & I’ve been lifegaurding for 4 years. I started at one of the biggest pools in the United States & took it to the next level with ocean rescue. I love guarding any and all bodies of water to ensure swimmers are having a good, fun & relaxed time. Safety for swimmers, beach goers, & pool patrons is my #1 priority. I’ve always loved guarding because of the lifestyle, the sun, & the vibe. my office is water front everyday all day long. & everyone is always happy to see a lifegaurd even when they aren’t in need. A fun fact about me when I’m not at the beach I’m back in the mountains shredding some slopes on my snow skis! I’ve been skiing since I was a kid & it is one of my favorite passions!
Serving: West palm beach, palm beach, Jupiter, palm beach gardens, Delray, fortlauderdale, Miami.
As a Miami Beach native, I’ve been enjoying our beaches and pools since I was a baby. Because everyone would tell me I was very good with kids and so comfortable in the water, I started teaching private swimming classes. I became a Lifeguard in 2015 and a Water Safety Instructor in 2016. I am told I motivate my students to improve their swimming techniques and to work hard to reach their swimming goals. I particularly like to work events as I enjoy meeting new people. I have repeat parents who call me to be a lifeguard at their kids’ parties. A fun fact about me is that I am probably one of the tallest lifeguards you can hire but can relate to your child as if I were as small as them.
Serving: Plantation, Davie, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Boca
Hi, I’m Demetrius Jones and I look forward to working with you. I have over 9 years experience as a lifeguard working at large, high-end resorts and hotels, as well as small private pools and parties. I’m outgoing and personable, and enjoy working in all environments. I look forward to helping make sure everyone has a fantastic time, but is safe in the process.
4+ years of my experience was managing a therapy pool where we supported people with injuries, special needs and the elderly. My experience there (and prior experience) has helped me develop the ability to customize my approach to meet each person’s needs. During that same timeframe, I also taught swim lessons for 2 1/2 years; I like helping people feel comfortable and love the water as much as I do.
Other than lifeguarding, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Arts and have a business doing musical engineering and production. I moved to sunny California earlier this year and am enjoying working here in both capacities.
I look forward to meeting you soon,
Demetrius

I started lifeguarding in the Summer of 2018 and I fell in love since. I absolutely love the water, interacting with the patrons and keeping them safe. I have a fondness for making patrons happy and making sure they have a great time. During guarding, I enjoy watching the public and giving different ideas or games for them to play. Additionally, I am a very busy-body; I love to have things to do.
Serving: Tamarac, Plantation, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Miami
I enjoy helping people as well as the water, life guarding brings me joy and i like the beach being one of the places i reside at.
Serving: parkland,coralsprings, ft lauderdale, boca
I have been a lifeguard since I was 16 years old, which was in 2016. I moved from Louisville, KY to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2018 for college, and have not been able to leave South Florida since! I now serve as the Aquatics Director at the Nova Southeastern University Aquatics Institute, as well as teach lifeguarding courses on the side. Unfortunately, I have had to make several rescues both in the water and on land, providing me with “real-life” rescuing experience. I truly love the aquatics industry, but I have other passions as well, such as teaching, pole vaulting, and scuba diving.
Serving: All cities in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties (South Florida)
Hi! My name is Lauren. I have been an ocean lifeguard in Long Island New York for 5 years before moving to Boca Raton. I am a special education teacher as well. From my experiences as an ocean lifeguard and also my previous experience at pools and the bay, I know how important it is to keep your eyes on the water at all time to ensure safety of all patrons ! I was a college diver for UCONN as well. My years of experience as a lifeguard and also a diver/swimmer will make the perfect lifeguard for your event.
Serving: Boca raton, delray, boynton, Fort Lauderdale
Most of my lifeguarding experience has been in and around country clubs since 2020 and i loved it so much that i joined happy swimmers in 2021. I wanted to guard events outside of work so that i could meet new people that i otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to! Before that i was working as a swim instructor and as much as i loved teaching the little ones, it was too much on my ears and i couldn’t be in the water every day like i wanted to. That’s why lifeguarding was the perfect amount of enjoying the water while also being able to keep my ears dry (for the most part at least haha). I’ve worked my way up and now i’m an aquatics director and have the opportunity to still work events whenever i get the chance to. Besides lifeguarding, i love spending my time skateboarding with my friends down at the local skateparks and creating art on my nails. Lifeguarding gives me a sense of purpose by being able to help people in need, while skateboarding and doing my nails give me a creative outlet to express myself.
Serving: Fort lauderdale, Hollywood, Boynton, Delray beach
Since I was a child I was always close to the water, in my adolescence I spent three years in the national swimming school in Cuba, as swimming instructor since 1996 I worked several summers in Cuba. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also worked as a swimming instructor in 2012 I went to live in Sardinia, Italy where I worked as a private swimming instructor for three years, I like this job because swimming is the most complete sport, it is also very important to learn to swim by your own security, there is a risk of death by drowning very high in the world, I personally think that all people should know how to swim or know how to be safe in an aquatic environment
As a lifeguard I worked two summers in Cuba, before starting in the university, where I studied pedagogy in appreciation of art. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also work as a lifeguard in 2012. I like lifeguarding because there is a lot of responsibility in safety of clients at beaches or pools, I like to know that I am able to react in a stressful situation, each situation is different in each place, the work dynamics are fun and also very serious
Love any water activities.
Serving: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boca Raton
I love lifeguarding and have been one since I was a teenager. I have experience in guarding town pools and big waterparks including both Disney parks. My favorite thing about event guarding is meeting new people from all over the country and being part of their special event.
Special Certs:Waterpark Lifeguard Experience, Previous State of NJ EMT, Scuba
Having worked as a lifeguard for a variety of facilities including beach resorts, swim teams and municipal pools, I understand the changing demands of lifeguarding for different types of clients, events and swimmers. I’ve been able to apply my experience as a free diver on the reefs of South Florida and a USA swim coach to lifeguarding, allowing me to create a fun, enjoyable and most importantly safe environment for swimmers of all ages and experience levels.
Serving: Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs
