The Heat is on in Miami! The most popular tourist destination in the world reflects the unique, vibrant and culturally rich communities in the southern tip of Florida. A tropical paradise first explored by the Spaniards, Miami has become the hot spot of Florida, and we serve it all. The colorful and playful architecture reflects the diversity of the Latin American culture that Miami is so well known for. Communities such as Coral Gables, South Beach, Little Havana, Miami Shores and North Miami Beach celebrate their diversity through the foods, worship, and recreation opportunities. Families can paddle through the mangrove swamps or over a sunken treasure ship in nearby John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Swimming with a dolphin, offshore fishing, or collecting seashells at a beach party in Crandon Park Beach are some of the memories made in South Florida.
Happy Swimmers is as unique, vibrant and diverse as the communities we service. With extensive experience, our lifeguards and swim instructors respect and relate to the rich cultures of the Miami area. Whether it’s being able to converse in the Spanish language (some of our staff are Spanish speaking) or being cognizant of cultural values, Happy Swimmers believes that it’s the personal relationship formed with the client that makes the difference!

Yumi and Jere were wonderful lifeguards when they guarded our end of year pool party on Wednesday June 11 from 11-2. They were in touch with me, were on time and prepared, and were very responsible and knowledgeable. I was so happy to be able to put two adults in charge of our fourth grade class party.
Based on my experience with Yumi Temple and her cohort Jere, I would highly recommend Happy Swimmers.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. So happy we used your business.
Hi Jenn.. wow today was really scary. I had to use my first aid skills on my mom! We work at the same preschool & she had an allergic reaction & went into shock! I did everything I remembered until the paramedics came.. I really can’t thank you enough for teaching me everything I needed to know!
Everything about my experience with Happy Swimmers has been amazing! From the scheduling to the fantastic teacher they sent for my 5 and 6 year old. The instructor, Emma, had to contend with 2 very different personalities along with 2 different levels of swimming experience. She was more than equipped to deal with that and gave each child unparalleled support, encouragement and instruction. I highly recommend this service to all parents that want to give their child a great experience in being water safe!
We have three kids ages 7, 4, and 2 & 1/2. This was our second year having Happy Swimmers, with instructor Trisha Commons, come teach our kids (the two oldest) to swim. I tried another company the year before I tried Happy Swimmers and although the kids learned swim safety, they were bored and did not learn how to enjoy the pool. Trisha got our son, who did not really like swimming, having fun and by the end of last year could swim the entire length of the pool on his own.
Trisha is great with the kids and is flexible in her teaching style to work with different personalities. She is able to get the kids confident in their abilities and teaches them how to swim, but also teaches them how to have fun! I will definitely be asking Happy Swimmers and Trisha to teach the kids again next year.
I have a toddler and a pool and wanted to make sure my son learned water safety. After taking some group classes last summer, I knew I wanted more one-on-one attention at our home. This summer I reviewed several in-home companies and was impressed with Happy Swimmers approach of water safety.
Trish worked with my stubborn 2-yr old 2-3 times a week. Within the first lesson he knew how to climb out of the pool and to ask permission before getting in. Although our goal was to get him water comfortable more than “swimming”, he indeed learned to swim within a few weeks. We extended our lessons and really appreciated Trish’s approach. We will sign up again next summer. Many of our friends with children happened to be present on several lessons and I expect they will also sign up next summer as well.
Hired a happy swimmers for private life guard for a party for over 200 people at my house. The lifeguard was great. She called to confirm before, came on time, and stayed later then we originally signed up because the party went over. She also showed up on time despite there being a black out that because of storms the day before. I highly recommend Happy Swimmers.

Director’s note: Alexis told me his full name means, “The defender of the Mountain of Geese” in his native Greek. He shall defend your kids well too! We are glad to have you, Alexis!
Being a lifeguard gives me a sense of pride. My intention as a lifeguard is to keep everybody under my watch as safe as possible and prevent injuries before they happen. But in the case where an incident does happen I will do whatever is necessary to assist and save someone. What I like most about lifeguarding events is the diversity of the people I meet and watch over and the places I go. A fun fact about myself is that I am Canadian and I love the weather of Florida.
I serve the South Florida communities of Boca Raton, West Palm Beach/Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Clearwater, Miami, among others.

I have been lifeguarding for 2 years, going to my third! I started guarding at a summer camp in Wisconsin and absolutely loved it! I enjoyed being outside making sure people were having fun while being safe in the water and occasionally joining in on the fun of splashing around in the beach area that was made from the river. I also guarded the Olympic-sized pool at the University of Denver where many activities such as water polo, kayaking, swim lessons, and swim competitions took place. As a guard I intend to create a safe yet fun environment for those who are participating in aquatic related activities. Seeing people laugh and create memories in these environments, while also being safe, is what I enjoy most about lifeguarding.
I serve the South Florida communities of Kendall Area, Doral, Homestead, among others.

I absolutely love lifeguarding! I started at a camp for people with various disabilities and ages while I was doing my internship. I am currently in college studying recreational therapy. After my internship I started working as a lifeguard at Florida International University’s pool. I am great with children. I used to be a gymnastic coach for children ranging from 4-16 years old. I am a confident lifeguard that is not anxious about the work I do. I think the most important part of lifeguarding is prevention. I know all the signs of a distressed swimmer and I know all the situations that can result negatively. When I watch a pool I am focused on those two things. If prevention is taken seriously like I do, then a rescue or emergency situation should never take place. I love lifeguarding because it does not feel like work to me. I get to meet beautiful people and enjoy a sunny day. I look forward to lifeguarding your event!!
I serve the South Florida communities of Miami, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, among others.
A little over ten years ago, I was drawn to lifeguarding; as a competitive swimmer, I had a deep passion for the water, and wanted to ensure that others were able to enjoy the water (hopefully as much as I do), safely. Since I first got my certification, I have expanded my qualifications to include Emergency Medical Technician and several military related swimming instructor and responder qualifications. They were a natural fit for me because I have been a swimmer forever; from the time I was small, through high school, and even at the Coast Guard Academy, where I graduated in 2014 with a BS in Civil Engineering, swimming has always been my first love. Fun fact: I have acted as a lifeguard in in more countries than states (6 countries/4 states)! I look forward to working with you!
I serve the South Florida communities of Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Brickell, Pembroke Pines, among others.
I love the ocean, whether it’s swimming, snorkeling, surfing, or conservation, everything about it is great to me. I love spending time in and around the water, and it is my responsibility and obligation to make sure that people are safe when enjoying themselves around water, whether it’s a pool or the ocean. I became a lifeguard to help save lives and prevent injury whenever I can, and I intend to do so to the best at my ability on or off duty. Thank you!
I serve the Miami communities of Ft. Lauderdale, Boca/Delray, West Palm, Miami proper, among others.
Serving areas including Miami Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isle, Coral Gables
I have been working for three years as a private lifeguard in Miami Shores and have great people skills. Lifeguarding private events keeps me on my toes and allows me to branch out and reach new people that need lifeguarding service or that just need connections into the lifeguard industry and private pools. I am extremely athletic and an avid waterman of many different sports, and I also swam for 6 years so I’m not the worst person to get swimming instructions from.
11 Years Experience!
Serving areas like:Beverly Hills, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks
Hi there, my name is Paola! I LOVE swimming and working with kids! It’s always fun and an adventure! Swimming has always been in my life (I was an competitive swimmer)! I’ve been teaching this beautiful sport since 2004 with ages 04 to 17 and adults. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and I was also a Youth counselor on a cruise ship! I am excited for the opportunity to inspire others to feel the same way I do about the water! ! Be ready to learn and have a lot of fun! 🙂
As a new lifeguard, I am really excited to start working in the field. With background knowledge in hostile and verbal environments, as well as, friendly interaction-based job positions, I truly believe I am the best for solving any standard issue. Being a lifeguard requires a mixture of both fun and outgoing, yet, stern and serious characteristics, and the perfect amount of all these traits would lead to a great day at the pool with minimal incidents and maximum fun. I look forward to our future friendly encounters with Happy Swimmers. 🙂
I serve the Miami communities of Plantation, Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miramar, Weston, Sunrise, Tamarac, Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines

A little bit about Christine: After working as an LAPD scientific investigator for 11 years I transitioned to completing my M.S. degree in Chemistry then followed a teaching and research path in university academics for several years. I then moved to Hawaii in 2008 where I first joined the JTA CPR/ Happy Swimmers team as a CPR/First Aid instructor. During these years I had always made a priority in volunteerism being active in the National Ski Patrol and the USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. Today I reside in Houston and presently support Help America Today turning elementary aged kids into the volunteers of tomorrow through grassroots community service projects. My passion for teaching and making a positive impact on our society is why I love teaching CPR and First Aid, particularly for those never certified. I am proud to now expand into the administrative staff of the company and be a part of turning children into happy swimmers.
Since I was a child I was always close to the water, in my adolescence I spent three years in the national swimming school in Cuba, as swimming instructor since 1996 I worked several summers in Cuba. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also worked as a swimming instructor in 2012 I went to live in Sardinia, Italy where I worked as a private swimming instructor for three years, I like this job because swimming is the most complete sport, it is also very important to learn to swim by your own security, there is a risk of death by drowning very high in the world, I personally think that all people should know how to swim or know how to be safe in an aquatic environment
As a lifeguard I worked two summers in Cuba, before starting in the university, where I studied pedagogy in appreciation of art. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also work as a lifeguard in 2012. I like lifeguarding because there is a lot of responsibility in safety of clients at beaches or pools, I like to know that I am able to react in a stressful situation, each situation is different in each place, the work dynamics are fun and also very serious
I have experience Lifeguarding pool party events in public and private pools during spring and summer. I am a very positive and outgoing person who loves to help all those around me and Lifeguarding allows me to carry out a safe, helping and fun attitude. Along with being a Lifeguard, I am also a musician and singer.
I serve the South Florida communities of Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Hollywood, among others.
Hello, my name is Seve Cedeno. I recently graduated from high school and have also recently obtained my lifeguard certification. I serve the South Florida communities of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, among others.
Hi I’m Shannon and I have experience guarding children of all ages, from when they were infants in the water with their parents for the first time to high-schoolers on the swim team. It is important to me that everyone feels safe while having fun at the same time. I have multiple years of experience watching over children. My jobs before lifeguarding include babysitting two boys in elementary school and refereeing youth soccer with ages ranging from under seven to thirteen.
I serve the South Florida communities of Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, north Miami, Boynton Beach, among others.
I have worked for City of Glendale and Los Angeles County as a lifeguard and I am currently working for city of Pasadena as a senior lifeguard. something interesting about me is that although I am a very good swimmer and a lifeguard, I am actually scared of the ocean, maybe for the fact that I do not know whats under the water since I can not see it . I am also fluent in Armenian and Farsi
Areas I commonly serve: Los Angeles, pasadena, Encino, Studio City
Lifeguarding isn’t just any job, it’s an opportunity to protect lives. I am blessed to have an opportunity like this and the second I was certified and began working I loved it. I have been a lifeguard for a year and I love lifeguarding events because I am able to prevent anything bad that could potentially happen. It feels good to know that I am able to save lives. I love anything related to swimming or water like pool parties, the beach, or just swimming laps.
I servet the South Florida regions of Boca Raton, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, among others.
I have been lifeguard at Tigertail Lake Recreation Center for 1 year. I knew the minute I learned the first lifeguarding technique that I would forever wear the white cross on my chest. I love the aspect of protection when it comes to lifeguarding because you’re essentially a guardian angel watching over everyone. Fun Fact: I have Nordic (Viking) blood in me!
I serve the Miami/ Fort Lauderdale communities of Fort Lauderdale proper, Boca Raton, Delray, Deerfield, among others.
