Tucson area Lifeguard for Hire Service

Lifeguard Service

It’s smart to hire a Tucson private lifeguard for a backyard pool party or corporate event: Ask one of our seven hosts grateful for us last summer in Phoenix where urgent interventions were done by our guards at each of those parties. Did anyone see it? Our lifeguards did, and all were happy.  This year, we’ve decided to also head down South to Tucson to lend our watchful eyes too!

Price for up to 3 hours is $189 per lifeguard.  Over 3 hours add $25/half hour per lifeguard.  Feel free to keep the guards over your original booking time pending their schedule.  Our office will bill you.  The booking form on the next page will easily calculate your cost based on your party length and amount of lifeguards.  We’re a cheap alternative to an accident.  Just recently, one guard made 4 rescues to children at a busy party.  Think their parents thought he was worth it?

Here’s just one who booked a Happy Swimmers Lifeguard:

We had a lifeguard at my son’s 6th birthday party, Matt. He showed up on time, was incredibly friendly and amazing at his job. About 2 hours into the party the pool was packed with kids. I was talking to a friend when suddenly I saw Matt jump up from his chair, run to the far side of the pool and pull my 2-year-old daughter from underwater. He saved her life. None of us saw what happened and my daughter got lost in the crowd. I cannot recommend this company enough and will be using them again at every pool party we have.

Celia Simpson, Tucson Lifeguard

Tucson

4 years guarding experience. 🙂

My name is Celia, and I have been a swimmer for 12 years. I graduated from Boston University last year, which ended my swimming career. I worked as an Assistant Aquatic Director for about a year, and now that I am not working full-time around a pool, I like to fit in guarding and teaching lessons as much as possible. I like to allow people to relax around a pool knowing that I will keep everyone safe so that they can enjoy the water as much as I do!

Common areas I serve: Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana

Event Lifeguard Bio: From my first big swim in the Pacific, and subsequent pummeling from an unexpected wave, I have loved lifeguards. I became a Jr. Lifeguard at age 7 after my unfortunate tossing in the white water, and began to understand the importance of water safety. The foundational learning of this program gave me the passion for ocean and pool awareness I have today. During my formative years, I began to play water polo and lifeguard after practice for our school’s younger swimmers. I continued to play competitively in college and became a Jr. Guard Instructor as well as an Ocean Lifeguard. My love of the water has stayed with me even when I became a Zookeeper after earning my bachelor’s, where I swam for exercise. The observational skills and preventative efforts I practiced daily when caring for Orangutans and Harbor Seals helped maintain my lifeguarding prowess. When I became a researcher of Orangutans in Indonesia and began my graduate schooling, I knew event lifeguarding would be a great way to support my education while honing my observational techniques. Scanning the trees for primate behaviors is perfect practice for scanning the water area for potentially distressed swimmers and vice versa. I love all primates, humans included, and I will work hard to keep all of them safe and happy- inside the water and out!

Advanced certifications: Open Water Lifeguard Experience, Scuba cert

Swim Instructor Bio:

15+ years experience teaching swimming! Christina generally serves Santa Monica and the Westside, from the Ocean to West Hollywood Hills.

She says: The moment I see swimming “click” in a student, I feel a wave of happiness- their giant smile glowing, where once a timid or nervous excitement challenged their own self-confidence. I have seen hundreds of these smiles, from young ones to golden aged students, and it never fails to fill me with a sense of purpose.

I try to apply all my years of teaching swimmers to each and every new student’s learning abilities. What may work for one does not always transfer. When I was a zookeeper, I learned that positive reinforcement is the best and least stressful way to teach even the most stubborn tiger or sea lion to accept medical treatments, and swim beautifully (even the tiger!). Hopefully, none of my human trainees will be as tough, but I am up for the challenge!

As a Master’s student in Anthropology, I have learned to apply my observational skills to the pool too. Knowing how a student can adapt to the new challenge of swimming is not unlike understanding how different cultures learn to adapt to societies’ challenges.

I plan to use all my various experiences from Jr. Lifeguard instructor, Beach Lifeguard, Zookeeper, and Grad school to influence the unique and focused attention I will give while teaching a new swimmer.

Everyone deserves the ability to enjoy swimming and feel confident too. I can’t wait to welcome others into the water 🙂

A little bit about Christine: After working as an LAPD scientific investigator for 11 years I transitioned to completing my M.S. degree in Chemistry then followed a teaching and research path in university academics for several years. I then moved to Hawaii in 2008 where I first joined the JTA CPR/ Happy Swimmers team as a CPR/First Aid instructor. During these years I had always made a priority in volunteerism being active in the National Ski Patrol and the USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. Today I reside in Houston and presently support Help America Today turning elementary aged kids into the volunteers of tomorrow through grassroots community service projects. My passion for teaching and making a positive impact on our society is why I love teaching CPR and First Aid, particularly for those never certified. I am proud to now expand into the administrative staff of the company and be a part of turning children into happy swimmers.
