1. BE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR PERSONAL SWIM INSTRUCTOR'S CELL PHONE NUMBER, it's the quickest way to rearrange lessons when necessary.
2. Please pay for lessons on this website. Instructors do not take payment or checks at the lessons. This speeds lesson orders, and general accounting for our office, and keeps things clear.
3. A parent or guardian of at least one of the students of the group must be at the lesson location if a student is a minor.
4. Pool temperature: For children's swim lessons, the U.S. Swim School Association and the Red Cross strongly suggest a pool temp of 88 or higher. Learning is so much more effective in warm water, and we want you to get your money's worth! Pool temperature at 86 will feel lukewarm to the touch, under 86 will not be allowed. Pool temperature and pool maintenance are your responsibility. You will be charged for lessons canceled without proper notice for this reason. It is at the discretion of the instructor and office to cancel or cut short a lesson if pool temperature or an unsanitary pool may affect the health of the participants. Please call our office if you may find difficulty meeting this policy. Tip: For about $80, Leslie's Pool Supply stocks a light weight pool solar blanket which typically raises the temperature of an unheated pool by 15 degrees!
5. Cancellations must be made giving proper notice which is at least 24 hours in advance by calling your personal swim instructor. Only two cancellations with proper notice are allowed per 8 lesson set, with a maximum of 4 cancellations per season. Cancellation excess, or without 24 hour notice, will forfeit the lesson(s) with exceptions to documented medical excuses or planned vacation. It is not fair to an instructor's scheduling to be informed of cancellations with a few hours notice.
6. For group lessons (60 min or longer), if any child is absent while the lesson takes place, the lesson time is lost for the absent child, unless all members of the group decide to cancel that lesson, and with proper notice. The children in attendance simply absorb the absent child's time.
7. In case of bad weather, please check with your instructor to reschedule the lesson, with no cancellation penalty. Repeated use of this will only be honored at the discretion of the instructor and office.
8. Refunds: When needed, prorated refunds are given on the unused portion of lessons purchased, with no processing fees. We will never hold your money, period. Refunds are credited by the same method payment was made due to credit card rules.
9. Additional Lessons: If lessons continue beyond the original enrollment, client agrees to pay the pre-established rate listed on this enrollment form for any additional lessons taken.
10. End of Season. All lesson credit must be used by the end of the current year swim season, Oct. 31, unless you are continuing lessons with instructor ok into the fall. No carryover credit will be allowed to next year's season. If you ever have any comments or questions, we welcome you to call to our office at 818-530-4117. [- click to hide Policies and Procedures]
