Jaime Shoemaker, Washington DC Swim Instructor

I grew up in a swimming family and competed in club swimming for 16 years.  I have been teaching/coaching on and off for the last 11 and have worked with all levels and ages, including elite athletes and those who are brand new to the water.  I have also worked with children with Autism.  I believe that swimming should be a fun and safe experience.  I currently service the D.C. Metro area and look forward to a wonderful summer.  CPR and FirstAid Certified

Swim Instructor Jen Itskowitz, living in Gaithersburg MD. Serving Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

I am certified in CPR, Lifeguard Training and First Aid.  I have taught swimming lessons for four years for a local community pool along with w yearls private lessons with Happy Swimmers.  I enjoy teaching children of all ages and levels, but have the gift of connecting with beginners.  I believe swimming is all about comfort, trust, and fun! As an instructor, I strive to make children enjoy while learning to ensure the best experience!

Diana Lage, Washington DC area swim instructor

I have been teaching swim lessons for nine years. I have taught hundreds of children, teens, and adults of all skill levels how to successfully swim on their own. I competitively swam for Curl Burke Swim Club for six years and the Lee Graham Swim Team for fifteen.  Over the past five years, I have coached swimming and diving for a number of teams in the Washington, DC area, including the Capitol Sea Devils, Lee Graham Pool, and St. John’s Dive Team.

I am currently certified in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Swim Coach’s Safety. I have been certified as a lifeguard in the past and I am working on getting re-certified.

I look forward to having fun swimming with you!

I am happy to serve the Greater DC area, Southern Maryland, Northern Virginia including Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax.

I am currently certified in CPR and AED, Lifeguard Training and First Aid, and Preventing Disease Transmission.  I have held these certifications and worked as a lifeguard on and off for the last 8 years. I have lifeguarded at summer day camps, birthday parties and water aerobics.

I graduated from UConn in 2009 and am a former aerobic instructor. Today, I am a law student at Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.

Specialties: Children 0-10.  I have been teaching for 4 years and lifeguarding for 6. Currently, I am a Lead Swim Instructor at the University of Maryland’s Learn-to-Swim program. I have worked at all types of pools and facilities and taught classes ranging from infants to adults and from beginning to advanced. My favorite stroke is the breast stroke.
