Happy Swimmers started teaching at-home swim lessons in 1991 in Los Angeles, with 22 clients. In 1993 we began serving Phoenix, based in Scottsdale. We are the largest and longest established mobile swim lesson company Valleywide.
Phoenix is home to many fine swim to many fine swim schools and city programs, so why do we offer swimming lessons? Some kids do well in boisterous social large group swim lessons, but many kids do not, and prefer a quiet, trusting setting of their own home pool and a dedicated, kind-hearted, patient instructor. Our Phoenix swimming lessons specialize in the latter style of teaching.
We can come to you in the Glendale-Peoria area, North Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert. If I’ve missed your community, and you’re close to these, just ask.
Swim Lesson Tip:
GETTING RINGS on the steps or bottom of the pool: Incrementally place the rings a bit deeper throughout the Swim Lesson visits. Offer for the child to grab the ring with one hand while using their other hand to hold your hand for balance. Offer your hand likewise if taking them to the ring on the bottom too.
Whenever going under whether for rings or other swimming or jumping from the wall, QUEING is key. What’s queing?—Saying “Ready… (Child repeats back, “ready”…. One…two…three. When taking a child under, do so smoothly and then take them back up to the surface smoothly.
