Yumi and Jere were wonderful lifeguards when they guarded our end of year pool party on Wednesday June 11 from 11-2. They were in touch with me, were on time and prepared, and were very responsible and knowledgeable. I was so happy to be able to put two adults in charge of our fourth grade class party.
Based on my experience with Yumi Temple and her cohort Jere, I would highly recommend Happy Swimmers.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. So happy we used your business.
Hi Jenn.. wow today was really scary. I had to use my first aid skills on my mom! We work at the same preschool & she had an allergic reaction & went into shock! I did everything I remembered until the paramedics came.. I really can’t thank you enough for teaching me everything I needed to know!
Everything about my experience with Happy Swimmers has been amazing! From the scheduling to the fantastic teacher they sent for my 5 and 6 year old. The instructor, Emma, had to contend with 2 very different personalities along with 2 different levels of swimming experience. She was more than equipped to deal with that and gave each child unparalleled support, encouragement and instruction. I highly recommend this service to all parents that want to give their child a great experience in being water safe!
We have three kids ages 7, 4, and 2 & 1/2. This was our second year having Happy Swimmers, with instructor Trisha Commons, come teach our kids (the two oldest) to swim. I tried another company the year before I tried Happy Swimmers and although the kids learned swim safety, they were bored and did not learn how to enjoy the pool. Trisha got our son, who did not really like swimming, having fun and by the end of last year could swim the entire length of the pool on his own.
Trisha is great with the kids and is flexible in her teaching style to work with different personalities. She is able to get the kids confident in their abilities and teaches them how to swim, but also teaches them how to have fun! I will definitely be asking Happy Swimmers and Trisha to teach the kids again next year.
I have a toddler and a pool and wanted to make sure my son learned water safety. After taking some group classes last summer, I knew I wanted more one-on-one attention at our home. This summer I reviewed several in-home companies and was impressed with Happy Swimmers approach of water safety.
Trish worked with my stubborn 2-yr old 2-3 times a week. Within the first lesson he knew how to climb out of the pool and to ask permission before getting in. Although our goal was to get him water comfortable more than “swimming”, he indeed learned to swim within a few weeks. We extended our lessons and really appreciated Trish’s approach. We will sign up again next summer. Many of our friends with children happened to be present on several lessons and I expect they will also sign up next summer as well.
Hired a happy swimmers for private life guard for a party for over 200 people at my house. The lifeguard was great. She called to confirm before, came on time, and stayed later then we originally signed up because the party went over. She also showed up on time despite there being a black out that because of storms the day before. I highly recommend Happy Swimmers.

My favorite thing about lifeguarding is knowing that I can make a difference and save a life. My intentions are not just to do my job effectively but to also make sure that everyone has fun and feels like family. A fun fact about me is that I lifeguarded for a movie shoot which was a very exciting experience for me.
I am always on my feet, on guard, and never sitting.Firefighter/Paramedic for Orange County Fire Rescue.
I first began life guarding for Jupiter Pointe Paddle boarding in 2014 for a Summer kids camp ranging from 30-50 kids (ages 6-13) in open intracoastal waterways and for guided tours around Jupiter. Starting in Summer of 2015, I was simultaneously working at a Jewish Community Center in Palm Beach Gardens as a part-time lifeguard for Swim With Gills, which was consisted of guarding infants to the elderly as well as special needs kids. I enjoy being in control and outside/active the most about lifeguarding for the obvious reasons of being a Florida native. Fun fact about me; I first learned to waterski when I was 3 years old.

3 years lifeguarding and swim teaching experience. Diana serves communities including Orlando, Winter Park, Oviedo, Kissimmee
I have been swimming practically my entire life. With a lifetime of swimming experience and involvement in teaching nearly all levels of swimmers, from children to adults, I have acquired the skills to ensure everyone has fun in a safe water environment. When it comes to lifeguarding, I constantly have the goal in mind of valuing the lives of every swimmer in front of me as if it were my own. I know I am providing a great service and that is what will drive me to always keep my skills “test-ready” and alert for any possible emergency. I like to be firm but kind while guarding a scene.
I’ve been a lifeguard for over a year now. I love to keep people safe and help them enjoy the water as much as I do! I’ve worked in a lot of crazy environments such as scuba diving experiences, caves, and dolphin pools so I’m up for any challenge!
I love scuba and free diving, competitive swimming, and playing water polo. I also love to travel and explore. Through all of these, safety is my number one priority and I hope to share that with you!

I am proud to say Lifeguarding has become a way of life for me. I have ALWAYS lived by the water as I was born and raised in South Florida before relocating to Los Angeles. I bring to you multiple years of experience as a Head Lifeguard at my local YMCA, a lifeguard for triathlons, lakes, pools, any body of water, you name it, I’ve guarded it. Safety is my number one priority as I have seen far too many unnecessary boo-boo’s during my career. I am an extremely approachable and outgoing person who loves to have fun and I always find myself going above and beyond to ensure everyone is having an exceptional time. I pride myself on my core values of respect, integrity, dependability, and honesty. When I arrive at your home or event, you can expect and I will deliver the utmost amount of professionalism and safety.
I serve the LA metro communities of Santa Monica, Inglewood, El Segundo, Culver City, Playa Vista, Manhattan Beach, among others.
I began life-guarding when I was just 15 years old. Since then, I have worked for my community, college and even Aquatica as a full time lifeguard for almost 5 years. Now, I am a middle school teacher with a family and a young child.

I have been a lifeguard since I was 15 years of age. I have always lifeguarded, taught swim lessons, CPR/AED and first aid. In addition to be an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, I am also a NASCO instructor trainer and serve on the faculty each year at their national aquatic school. I am a middle school teacher and was teacher of the year last year and one of the top ten teachers in my district. I swim open water events with my longest swim being 12.5 miles. (you go girl!)
I have been a lifeguard for 7 years, working for orange county parks and recreation at kelly park (rock springs), Discovery Cove Orlando, and now currently working for RDV sportsplex in Maitland. I have always had a strong passion for lifeguarding and helping and serving others. I am very excited for this adventure with happy swimmers and can’t wait to experience the different events. A little fun fact about myself is that I absolutely love the outdoors. Most days you can find me either hunting, fishing, or on any body of water possible!
I serve the Orlando/Tampa communities of Apopka, Altamonte, Orlando & Tampa proper, among others.
Lifeguarding has always been something that I have been into doing. I love being next to the water and getting some sun. Hopefully If all goes well I can make this a great career job in the future!

Hi my name is Nick and I am a Florida native with a great Jamaican heritage. The reason that I first got into lifeguarding was because I got a summer job at a sleep away summer camp. I remember being pretty nervous my first couple times guarding. However, from that experience my confidence grew and after 4 years of that, I have learned so much about myself and my leadership ability. I acquired my lifeguard trainer certification and have put it to good use since.
The reason I love event lifeguarding is because on top of keeping everyone safe, I love being a part of the excitement going on around me.
I have 3 years lifeguarding experience of all ages.
My intention in guarding is to keep everyone safe but also keeping everyone happy and having fun while staying safe. What I like most about lifeguarding events is the feeling I get after an event where everyone is safe but also had a great time at the event. I feel accomplished and that my job was truly successful when that happens. A couple of fun facts about me is that I have a twin brother who lives in New Jersey, I can wiggle my ears and I can play the guitar.
I serve the greater Orlando & Tampa communities of Temple Terrace, Wesley Chapel, Tampa Palms, South Tampa, among others.

HI!!!! My name in Rakeisha. I am a Canadian student-athlete currently finishing my degree in Biology on the medical track and playing soccer at Saint Leo University. I have been swimming since I was eight and have loved the water ever since. I have been a certified lifeguard for seven years now and have done so for camp, family outings, Saint Leo University’s pool, and at my own house. Though I am not a certified swim instructor I have taught a few kids in my community, so proper certification is something I will pursue. I understand how fun swimming can be but I also understand its dangers so I make it my business to ensure a safe environment for those who want to enjoy the water!
I started working as a lifeguard for City of Glendale and LA County at the age of 17 and I have not stopped lifeguarding ever since (8th years!) I am currently an assistant pool manager with City of Pasadena (3rd year) and regional manager with Happy Swimmers (1st year).
Lifeguarding is full of responsibly but it is also very rewarding. You get to socialize with others, jump in the water on really hot days and serve your community.

Hi there! I began lifeguarding at an aquatic park two summers ago in college and have since guarded birthday parties, company gatherings, and celebrations with all ages. Although my background is not particularly lengthy, it has however been incredibly condensed with experience and passion. My utmost priority is assisting in maintaining a safe swimming environment and to do so in a fun, happy and interactive way. My intention is to convey that I take on this responsibility with great care and dedication in order for my guests to feel that they can trust me with their, and their children’s, lives. A little bit about Christine: After working as an LAPD scientific investigator for 11 years I transitioned to completing my M.S. degree in Chemistry then followed a teaching and research path in university academics for several years. I then moved to Hawaii in 2008 where I first joined the JTA CPR/ Happy Swimmers team as a CPR/First Aid instructor. During these years I had always made a priority in volunteerism being active in the National Ski Patrol and the USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. Today I reside in Houston and presently support Help America Today turning elementary aged kids into the volunteers of tomorrow through grassroots community service projects. My passion for teaching and making a positive impact on our society is why I love teaching CPR and First Aid, particularly for those never certified. I am proud to now expand into the administrative staff of the company and be a part of turning children into happy swimmers.
