Lifeguard Service

Including all of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties

Happy Swimmers provides private event lifeguards for pool safety in South Florida. We have $2 million in insurance, hire top qualified people, lifeguard certified of course, background and reference checked and have a full administrative staff to back our operation.

The Heat is on in Miami! The most popular tourist destination in the world reflects the unique, vibrant and culturally rich communities in the southern tip of Florida. A tropical paradise first explored by the Spaniards, Miami has become the hot spot of Florida, and we serve it all. The colorful and playful architecture reflects the diversity of the Latin American culture that Miami is so well known for.  Communities such as Coral Gables, South Beach, Little Havana, Miami Shores and North Miami Beach celebrate their diversity through the foods, worship, and recreation opportunities. Families can paddle through the mangrove swamps or over a sunken treasure ship in nearby John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Swimming with a dolphin, offshore fishing, or collecting seashells at a beach party in Crandon Park Beach are some of the memories made in South Florida.

Happy Swimmers is as unique, vibrant and diverse as the communities we service. With extensive experience, our lifeguards and swim instructors respect and relate to the rich cultures of the Miami area. Whether it’s being able to converse in the Spanish language (some of our staff are Spanish speaking) or being cognizant of cultural values, Happy Swimmers believes that it’s the personal relationship formed with the client that makes the difference!

Find lifeguards for hire through us in South Florida, providing the best experience for protecting swimmers at your pool party or corporate event.  It’s smart to hire a lifeguard for a party, and we’re the company to help you make your next pool party the safest possible.

We work in many South Florida’s cities, with the aim of preventing many of the drownings and near-drowning accidents that are common in unsupervised swimming pools during the outdoor pool party season. Including a tip of the hat to Coral Springs, FL, the backyard pool capital of the world–we want to keep you all safe!  We are the largest private lifeguard service in the country, and locally serve the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area with a dedicated staff of professional guards, many of them pictured below.  Thanks for coming to Happy Swimmers, now in our 27th year of saving lives!

Price for up to 3 hours is $209 for the first lifeguard.  Additional lifeguards are $194 each.  Over 3 hours add $25/half hour per lifeguard.  Feel free to keep the guards over your original booking time pending their schedule.  Our office will bill you.  The booking form on the next page will easily calculate your cost based on your party length and amount of lifeguards.  We’re a cheap alternative to an accident.  Just recently, one guard made 4 rescues to children at a busy party.  Think their parents thought he was worth it?

Thank you, Lifeguard Instructor, Kimberly Lytle, for your contribution expressing the colorfulness of South Florida.

Alexis Montes | Lifeguard

Alexis Montes, Lifeguard for Hire

South Florida

My name is Alexis and I started out as a lifeguard for the North Miami Beach City Pool. This was a very family friendly pool where I had learned to swim and was a part of the swim team for about ten years. I swam and played water polo in high school as well, and being a lifeguard lets me work enjoying my love of the water. I always make sure to follow the proper procedures and exercise preventative guarding in order to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone involved.

I serve the South Florida communities of Doral, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Homestead, North Miami, among others.

Director’s note: Alexis told me his full name means, “The defender of the Mountain of Geese” in his native Greek.  He shall defend your kids well too!  We are glad to have you, Alexis!

Daniel Cambron, Event Lifeguard

Hollywood FL

Region: South Florida, FL

Experience: 1 Year
Hello, my name is Daniel. I have been working as a lifeguard at a very busy pool in South Florida and have experience dealing with large amounts of young swimmers and know how to recognize their signs of distress. Outside of work, I am on a swim team and play water polo on a club team which I have been doing for almost three years now. Vigilance and prevention are a couple of the most important aspects of safe lifeguarding and following those principles are how I prevent unsafe pool situations.

David Marino, Swim Instructor, Lifeguard & Motivational Speaker

As a Miami Beach native, I’ve been enjoying our beaches and pools since I was a baby. Because everyone would tell me I was very good with kids and so comfortable in the water, I started teaching private swimming classes. I became a Lifeguard in 2015 and a Water Safety Instructor in 2016. I am told I motivate my students to improve their swimming techniques and to work hard to reach their swimming goals. I particularly like to work events as I enjoy meeting new people. I have repeat parents who call me to be a lifeguard at their kids’ parties. A fun fact about me is that I am probably one of the tallest lifeguards you can hire but can relate to your child as if I were as small as them.

Serving: Plantation, Davie, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Boca

Jessica, Miami Lifeguard for Hire

I absolutely love lifeguarding! I started at a camp for people with various disabilities and ages while I was doing my internship. I am currently in college studying recreational therapy. After my internship I started working as a lifeguard at Florida International University’s pool. I am great with children. I used to be a gymnastic coach for children ranging from 4-16 years old. I am a confident lifeguard that is not anxious about the work I do. I think the most important part of lifeguarding is prevention. I know all the signs of a distressed swimmer and I know all the situations that can result negatively. When I watch a pool I am focused on those two things. If prevention is taken seriously like I do, then a rescue or emergency situation should never take place. I love lifeguarding because it does not feel like work to me. I get to meet beautiful people and enjoy a sunny day. I look forward to lifeguarding your event!!

I serve the South Florida communities of Miami, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, among others.

Meredith Anderson, Lifeguard for Hire

South Florida

A little over ten years ago, I was drawn to lifeguarding; as a competitive swimmer, I had a deep passion for the water, and wanted to ensure that others were able to enjoy the water (hopefully as much as I do), safely. Since I first got my certification, I have expanded my qualifications to include Emergency Medical Technician and several military related swimming instructor and responder qualifications. They were a natural fit for me because I have been a swimmer forever; from the time I was small, through high school, and even at the Coast Guard Academy, where I graduated in 2014 with a BS in Civil Engineering, swimming has always been my first love. Fun fact: I have acted as a lifeguard in in more countries than states (6 countries/4 states)! I look forward to working with you!

I serve the South Florida communities of Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Brickell, Pembroke Pines, among others.

Michael Baker, Lifeguard, Football Fanatic & Ocean Enthusiast

Lifeguarding has always been something that I have been into doing. I love being next to the water and getting some sun. Hopefully If all goes well I can make this a great career job in the future!

Serving: Clearwater Beach, Largo, Dun Edin, St. Petersburg.

Michael, Lifeguard for hire and coolest guy in town

Pompano Beach

I love the ocean, whether it’s swimming, snorkeling, surfing, or conservation, everything about it is great to me. I love spending time in and around the water, and it is my responsibility and obligation to make sure that people are safe when enjoying themselves around water, whether it’s a pool or the ocean. I became a lifeguard to help save lives and prevent injury whenever I can, and I intend to do so to the best at my ability on or off duty. Thank you!

I serve the Miami communities of  Ft. Lauderdale, Boca/Delray, West Palm, Miami proper, among others.

Nicholas Herin, Lifeguard

Miami, FL

Nick Zeichner, Lifeguard

Miami Beach, FL

Serving areas including Miami Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isle, Coral Gables

I have been working for three years as a private lifeguard in Miami Shores and have great people skills. Lifeguarding private events keeps me on my toes and allows me to branch out and reach new people that need lifeguarding service or that just need connections into the lifeguard industry and private pools. I am extremely athletic and an avid waterman of many different sports, and I also swam for 6 years so I’m not the worst person to get swimming instructions from.

Rafael Gonzalez, Lifeguard for Hire

I am a service oriented individual who has always been eager to help those in need whether be it on the medical field or as a lay person. I am new to the lifeguard field, graduated and licensed Emergency Medical Technician in the state of Florida with a competitive swimming history. I enjoy the view of people having fun and knowing that I’d be keeping them safe as they do so. I boxed for many years and reached a competitive level.

I serve the Miami Metro Area.

Rudyar, Private Swim Instructor & Lifeguard for Hire, lover of the arts

Hallandale Beach

Since I was a child I was always close to the water, in my adolescence I spent three years in the national swimming school in Cuba, as swimming instructor since 1996 I worked several summers in Cuba. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also worked as a swimming instructor in 2012 I went to live in Sardinia, Italy where I worked as a private swimming instructor for three years, I like this job because swimming is the most complete sport, it is also very important to learn to swim by your own security, there is a risk of death by drowning very high in the world, I personally think that all people should know how to swim or know how to be safe in an aquatic environment

As a lifeguard I worked two summers in Cuba, before starting in the university, where I studied pedagogy in appreciation of art. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also work as a lifeguard in 2012. I like lifeguarding because there is a lot of responsibility in safety of clients at beaches or pools, I like to know that I am able to react in a stressful situation, each situation is different in each place, the work dynamics are fun and also very serious
