The Heat is on in Miami! The most popular tourist destination in the world reflects the unique, vibrant and culturally rich communities in the southern tip of Florida. A tropical paradise first explored by the Spaniards, Miami has become the hot spot of Florida, and we serve it all. The colorful and playful architecture reflects the diversity of the Latin American culture that Miami is so well known for. Communities such as Coral Gables, South Beach, Little Havana, Miami Shores and North Miami Beach celebrate their diversity through the foods, worship, and recreation opportunities. Families can paddle through the mangrove swamps or over a sunken treasure ship in nearby John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Swimming with a dolphin, offshore fishing, or collecting seashells at a beach party in Crandon Park Beach are some of the memories made in South Florida.
Happy Swimmers is as unique, vibrant and diverse as the communities we service. With extensive experience, our lifeguards and swim instructors respect and relate to the rich cultures of the Miami area. Whether it’s being able to converse in the Spanish language (some of our staff are Spanish speaking) or being cognizant of cultural values, Happy Swimmers believes that it’s the personal relationship formed with the client that makes the difference!

My name is Alexis and I started out as a lifeguard for the North Miami Beach City Pool. This was a very family friendly pool where I had learned to swim and was a part of the swim team for about ten years. I swam and played water polo in high school as well, and being a lifeguard lets me work enjoying my love of the water. I always make sure to follow the proper procedures and exercise preventative guarding in order to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone involved.
I serve the South Florida communities of Doral, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Homestead, North Miami, among others.
Director’s note: Alexis told me his full name means, “The defender of the Mountain of Geese” in his native Greek. He shall defend your kids well too! We are glad to have you, Alexis!
I am currently working as a lifeguard at Pine Crest Day Camp in Fort Lauderdale Florida. As a lifeguard I intend to be attentive and ensure the safety of the guests along with providing friendly and professional service to our clients. I’m a certified scuba diver and enjoy going out on my families boat and capturing tropical fish and putting them in our 250 gallon fish tank.

My name is Eddie Riccio and I am originally from Long Island, New York. I received my bachelor’s degree in physical education and have been coaching children in various sports, specializing in gymnastics since 2004. I have been a lifeguard for various events at SUNY Cortland as well as one of the local high schools on Long Island. I am currently a lifeguard at a well known resort in Hollywood, FL as well as a lifeguard at a summer camp in Pompano Beach.
Serving: Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Miami Beach
Having a strong passion for helping others in need, I became a lifeguard because of it as a way that I can not only save a life but a person who can make the world a better place. I see lifeguarding as a way to offer a safe and fun environment for people of all ages. Not only do I genuinely enjoy monitoring pools, but I also fully understand the responsibilities that come attached to the job.
Serving: Pembroke Pines, Coral Gables, Doral, and Miami Beach
I have been a lifeguard for 5 years.
I enjoy providing a service that gives children and adults the ability to enjoy the pool, while feeling at ease knowing that I am there to help keep them safe.
I serve the SF Bay Area communities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Palo Alto, among others.
I have been lifeguarding for 2 years, going to my third! I started guarding at a summer camp in Wisconsin and absolutely loved it! I enjoyed being outside making sure people were having fun while being safe in the water and occasionally joining in on the fun of splashing around in the beach area that was made from the river. I also guarded the Olympic-sized pool at the University of Denver where many activities such as water polo, kayaking, swim lessons, and swim competitions took place. As a guard I intend to create a safe yet fun environment for those who are participating in aquatic related activities. Seeing people laugh and create memories in these environments, while also being safe, is what I enjoy most about lifeguarding.
I serve the South Florida communities of Kendall Area, Doral, Homestead, among others.

I serve Southern Florida in Delray Beach, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, communities, among others.
I absolutely love lifeguarding! I started at a camp for people with various disabilities and ages while I was doing my internship. I am currently in college studying recreational therapy. After my internship I started working as a lifeguard at Florida International University’s pool. I am great with children. I used to be a gymnastic coach for children ranging from 4-16 years old. I am a confident lifeguard that is not anxious about the work I do. I think the most important part of lifeguarding is prevention. I know all the signs of a distressed swimmer and I know all the situations that can result negatively. When I watch a pool I am focused on those two things. If prevention is taken seriously like I do, then a rescue or emergency situation should never take place. I love lifeguarding because it does not feel like work to me. I get to meet beautiful people and enjoy a sunny day. I look forward to lifeguarding your event!!
I serve the South Florida communities of Miami, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, among others.
A little over ten years ago, I was drawn to lifeguarding; as a competitive swimmer, I had a deep passion for the water, and wanted to ensure that others were able to enjoy the water (hopefully as much as I do), safely. Since I first got my certification, I have expanded my qualifications to include Emergency Medical Technician and several military related swimming instructor and responder qualifications. They were a natural fit for me because I have been a swimmer forever; from the time I was small, through high school, and even at the Coast Guard Academy, where I graduated in 2014 with a BS in Civil Engineering, swimming has always been my first love. Fun fact: I have acted as a lifeguard in in more countries than states (6 countries/4 states)! I look forward to working with you!
I serve the South Florida communities of Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Brickell, Pembroke Pines, among others.
Lifeguarding has always been something that I have been into doing. I love being next to the water and getting some sun. Hopefully If all goes well I can make this a great career job in the future!
Serving: Clearwater Beach, Largo, Dun Edin, St. Petersburg.
I love the ocean, whether it’s swimming, snorkeling, surfing, or conservation, everything about it is great to me. I love spending time in and around the water, and it is my responsibility and obligation to make sure that people are safe when enjoying themselves around water, whether it’s a pool or the ocean. I became a lifeguard to help save lives and prevent injury whenever I can, and I intend to do so to the best at my ability on or off duty. Thank you!
I serve the Miami communities of Ft. Lauderdale, Boca/Delray, West Palm, Miami proper, among others.
Serving areas including Miami Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isle, Coral Gables
I have been working for three years as a private lifeguard in Miami Shores and have great people skills. Lifeguarding private events keeps me on my toes and allows me to branch out and reach new people that need lifeguarding service or that just need connections into the lifeguard industry and private pools. I am extremely athletic and an avid waterman of many different sports, and I also swam for 6 years so I’m not the worst person to get swimming instructions from.
I am a service oriented individual who has always been eager to help those in need whether be it on the medical field or as a lay person. I am new to the lifeguard field, graduated and licensed Emergency Medical Technician in the state of Florida with a competitive swimming history. I enjoy the view of people having fun and knowing that I’d be keeping them safe as they do so. I boxed for many years and reached a competitive level.
I serve the Miami Metro Area.
Since I was a child I was always close to the water, in my adolescence I spent three years in the national swimming school in Cuba, as swimming instructor since 1996 I worked several summers in Cuba. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also worked as a swimming instructor in 2012 I went to live in Sardinia, Italy where I worked as a private swimming instructor for three years, I like this job because swimming is the most complete sport, it is also very important to learn to swim by your own security, there is a risk of death by drowning very high in the world, I personally think that all people should know how to swim or know how to be safe in an aquatic environment
As a lifeguard I worked two summers in Cuba, before starting in the university, where I studied pedagogy in appreciation of art. In 2007 I went to live in Spain where I also work as a lifeguard in 2012. I like lifeguarding because there is a lot of responsibility in safety of clients at beaches or pools, I like to know that I am able to react in a stressful situation, each situation is different in each place, the work dynamics are fun and also very serious
Hi I’m Shannon and I have experience guarding children of all ages, from when they were infants in the water with their parents for the first time to high-schoolers on the swim team. It is important to me that everyone feels safe while having fun at the same time. I have multiple years of experience watching over children. My jobs before lifeguarding include babysitting two boys in elementary school and refereeing youth soccer with ages ranging from under seven to thirteen.
I serve the South Florida communities of Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, north Miami, Boynton Beach, among others.
I have been lifeguard at Tigertail Lake Recreation Center for 1 year. I knew the minute I learned the first lifeguarding technique that I would forever wear the white cross on my chest. I love the aspect of protection when it comes to lifeguarding because you’re essentially a guardian angel watching over everyone. Fun Fact: I have Nordic (Viking) blood in me!
I serve the Miami/ Fort Lauderdale communities of Fort Lauderdale proper, Boca Raton, Delray, Deerfield, among others.
