I love swimming and playing video games. I always try and show up early just to know who I’m working with and how I can help them. I have been a lifeguard for over 3 years now and have also been a swim instructor before working as a lifeguard. I have been awarded a lifesaving award for rescuing a woman 2 years ago so I know how to handle a stressful situation if it ever comes up. I will always make sure everyone at the event are safe but also have a good time.

Hello! My name is Anthony Harris and I have been lifeguarding since 2021. I have worked over the summer at Great wolf lodge and now I am currently working at the Marq of Southlake. I have been swimming for almost my whole life and love to get outdoors and enjoy the water. Hello, my name is Kendrick. I’m a recently Certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. In addition to my day job, as a Fixed Income Specialist, I am an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 773 in Irving, TX. I made the decision to become a Lifeguard after completing BSA Aquatic Supervision & Water Rescue Training. I developed a love for swimming as a form of exercise following 20+ years as an amateur cyclist, and the addition of a few extra pounds. An important component of safety comes from “Being Prepared” (Scout’s Motto) for emergencies should they occur, but perhaps more practically, Prevention. I have over 6 years experience working with kids through scouting, and believe in living the 12 points of the Scout Law (ask me to recite them sometime ;). As a business professional, I strongly believe in providing excellent client service, and developing lasting relationships by treating individuals the way I expect to be treated.

In addition to the above certifications, I am Red Cross Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED. I’m Originally from Lafayette, Louisiana and have been living in the DFW area since 1995. I completed my Bachelor’s in 1991 at University of Southwestern LA. I Eventually earned my MBA at University of Dallas in 2002. When not involved with work or scouting, you’ll likely find me either in the pool, on the bike, or thinking about one of the above. Other interest include cooking (indoors & out), geocaching, and in general pushing myself to learn and do new things; rest is good too 🙂

My background is in the legal profession working as a legal secretary for many years. I stopped working to raise two children who are now young adults. My daughter is a teacher in the Portland school district, and my son is an artist who lives on the East coast. For the last twenty-four years, I worked as a Special Education Assistant in the Los Angeles Unified School District. For twenty of those years, I worked with at-risk students and students with special needs at the secondary level. These students resided in a residential facility, and I worked closely not only with the entire school staff but with the social workers and staff at the residential placement. I am excited to be part of the Management Team of Happy Swimmers and look forward to working with you.

I have worked as a swim instructor for 3 years and it is one of the most fun jobs that I have had. I love helping children gain confidence in the pool. It is one of the most rewarding feeling in the world to watch a child progress in their swimming ability. I love working with older children between ages 5-12. I have experience working with young children and have been told that I have a talent working with scared children in this age group. I also have experience working with adults of all swimming ability. I am currently a master instructor for Lifetime Fitness.

I have been a Lifeguard for 6 years, three of those years I worked as a waterfront lifeguard at a camp in Austin, Tx. The last 3 years I have worked for Lifetime Fitness in San Antonio as an Aquatics Supervisor in this role I help run swim programming and lifeguard management. As a lifeguard my number one priority is keeping everyone safe and stopping disasters before they happen. I am a fitness enthusiast and I am currently in the hiring process for the San Antonio Fire Department.
