Debbie is a graduate of CSUN with a background in teaching Physical Education and Special Education for students with Specific Learning Disabilities. She had worked for LAUSD as a teacher for 37.5 years. She has also been a Professional Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training Instructor with the American Red Cross and LAUSD. She has taught First Aid and CPR for over 30 years and feels that it is important to give back to the community. She has a strong background in working with the community in planning and scheduling events for the Civic Center Division for LAUSD.  Debbie is excited to be a part of the Instructor Team for JTA CPR and looks forward to being part of the expanding Management Team of Happy Swimmers. In her free time, Debbie loves to hike, ski where ever there is snow, swim and travel.

I have lifeguarded, instructed, supervised, and taught swimming, at many private events, resorts, private clubs, water parks, aquatic centers, schools, and have saved two people’s lives, one of which was a near fatal drowning!

At the Beginning of 2023 I applied for a Lifeguard certification through YMCA of southern Arizona. I have worked consistently y since march for about 15 hours a week overseeing sever group swim lessons of children as well as multiple water aerobics classes. My intention in guarding is to not only keep the patrons under my watch safe but give them a welcoming and fun environment to swim in. my favorite thing about guarding is seeing how much fun people of any age can have while in the water and how I get to be a part of that.

Hello! My name is Morgan and I have been a lifeguard for 5 years. I have worked at city pools, water parks, hotels, and private parties. I chose to become a lifeguard because it was the closest thing that I could do to being in the medical field. Currently, I am a nursing student at the University of Arizona, so my dream has almost come true!

Aloha! My name is Rachel and I am from Hawaii, a Pepperdine University graduate and am planning to attend law school! I grew up swimming and swam all throughout middle school, high school and college. I began teaching swim lessons in 2012 and have taught children ranging in age from 2-12 years old. I taught lessons through USA Swimming, YMCA Swimming and private lessons as well. I hope to share my love for swimming with others by helping improve skills, techniques and confidence in the water!

 I also began lifeguarding 6 years ago and have lifeguarded swim practices, swim meets, swim lessons and private events along with swim lessons for 6 years. I love the water! I hope to lifeguard events in order to ensure the safety of all swimmers and patrons!
