My name is Jameel, but everyone calls me Jay. I have been a lifeguard for almost a decade. I have taught swim lessons, lifeguarded at hundreds of pool across the east coast, and worked for university recreational pool facilities. I am easy going, a master at preventive safety, and know how create a atmosphere this is both safe and enjoyable. Fun fact about is that I am singer, and used to be apart of an award winning choir, that won a national competition.

I am a high school student with a passion for healthcare in all departments. My first intro to this was a life guarding career. Which I have been doing for about so far 10 months. I have learned so much about life guarding throughout the months and I am extremely skilled in problem solving. I’ve been a lifeguard since I was 15! I started out as a YMCA lifeguard, and also guarded multiple local summer swim clubs. As a swimmer, lifeguarding has always been my favorite job to do while in school. I’m a social person and love meeting the families that host events! I also have a background in swim instructing and swim team coaching!

I’ve only just become a lifeguard this year, although it’s been something I’ve wanted to do ever since I was little. Hey! My name is Sophie and I have been a lifeguard for three years! I have tons of experience with kids such as babysitting and love being around them! I play competitive soccer and love all sports.

My background is in the legal profession working as a legal secretary for many years. I stopped working to raise two children who are now young adults. My daughter is a teacher in the Portland school district, and my son is an artist who lives on the East coast. For the last twenty-four years, I worked as a Special Education Assistant in the Los Angeles Unified School District. For twenty of those years, I worked with at-risk students and students with special needs at the secondary level. These students resided in a residential facility, and I worked closely not only with the entire school staff but with the social workers and staff at the residential placement. I am excited to be part of the Management Team of Happy Swimmers and look forward to working with you.
