Hello, I am CSUN Grad with a background in Child Development. I have been working with children since 2018. As well as have been a lifeguard and swim instructor since the summer of 2018 and recently for the past two summers I have also been teaching aquarobics. My love for the water was born during High School when I joined the swim team and the water polo team. Once, I graduated High School I knew I wanted to be in the water in any shape or form, so I decided to become a lifeguard and swim instructor for all ages. Greetings, I’m Arthur! I have been a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for over 25 years.

I’m from Chicago. I’ve had a beautiful relationship with the water since I was a child. I was on the swim team in high school and the water polo club in my neighborhood park where I first learned to swim as a child. Years later at that same park I became a Lifeguard for the Chicago Park District. I later lifeguarded and became a Swim Instructor at Richard J Daley College and also at the YMCA in Illinois and in Hollywood, California. Since 2002 I’ve been a Behavior Specialist, Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor and CPR Instructor at a non public school in Cheviot Hills (West LA). I work with emotionally disturbed children who are diagnosed with Autism, bipolar disorder, ADHD and a host of other Mental illness and psychiatric disorders. I love the water, it’s one of the most consistent things in my life. I also love the joy of someone overcoming their fear of water and finally embracing it.

I recently graduated from Cal Poly with a B.S. in public health and will be attending UCLA to obtain my Master’s in Public Health Epidemiology in the fall.
