Hi! My name is Addison and I am 17 years old! I have been a competitive swimmer for 5 years and a lifeguard in Arizona for 2 years now and I absolutely love it! I love how much fun my coworkers and I have together! I also love that we can have fun but still be alert, aware, and keep everyone safe. It is always my top priority that every child, parent, and swimmer is kept safe and happy at all times.

I’m a pool lifeguard with a passion for water safety. With three years of experience as a lifeguard and StarGuard instructor, I take pride in my ability to maintain a safe and fun environment for swimmers of all ages. Debbie is a graduate of CSUN with a background in teaching Physical Education and Special Education for students with Specific Learning Disabilities. She had worked for LAUSD as a teacher for 37.5 years. She has also been a Professional Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training Instructor with the American Red Cross and LAUSD. She has taught First Aid and CPR for over 30 years and feels that it is important to give back to the community. She has a strong background in working with the community in planning and scheduling events for the Civic Center Division for LAUSD.  Debbie is excited to be a part of the Instructor Team for JTA CPR and looks forward to being part of the expanding Management Team of Happy Swimmers. In her free time, Debbie loves to hike, ski where ever there is snow, swim and travel.

I just always had a passion for guarding and I love being able to save people. Its also fun making jokes and seeing people smile.

I have lifeguarded, instructed, supervised, and taught swimming, at many private events, resorts, private clubs, water parks, aquatic centers, schools, and have saved two people’s lives, one of which was a near fatal drowning!

I have been teaching swim lessons for 3 years. I have taught all ages ranging from 6 months all the way up to adults. I have also taught in class settings as well as private lessons. I have experience teaching all skill levels. My favorite part about swim lessons is helping students master a new skill! I have been a competitive swimmer almost all of my life so swimming has always been one of my favorite activities!

I have been lifeguarding pools for 3 years. My favorite part about lifeguarding is that it is always a positive environment because people love swimming! I always make sure to scan the entire pool properly to ensure a safe experience for all of the swimmers. I have also coached water polo as a certified lifeguard so that adds an interesting element to the mix.

I love taking care of people and serving my community, which has led me to pursue Nursing at Grand Canyon University. I currently lifeguard at my local gym on the side, and in my free time I love to swim, lift weights, and spend time with family.

Aloha! My name is Rachel and I am from Hawaii, a Pepperdine University graduate and am planning to attend law school! I grew up swimming and swam all throughout middle school, high school and college. I began teaching swim lessons in 2012 and have taught children ranging in age from 2-12 years old. I taught lessons through USA Swimming, YMCA Swimming and private lessons as well. I hope to share my love for swimming with others by helping improve skills, techniques and confidence in the water!

 I also began lifeguarding 6 years ago and have lifeguarded swim practices, swim meets, swim lessons and private events along with swim lessons for 6 years. I love the water! I hope to lifeguard events in order to ensure the safety of all swimmers and patrons!

This is my second year lifeguarding and I’m really excited to guard again this year. I love to be able to provide the sense of security to family’s and swimmers while they are in the pool. I’m a big fan of letting everyone have a great time but also making sure they stay safe and follow the rules. Lifeguarding is amazing since I’ve been competitively swimming since I was six so the water is like my second home.
