Happy Swimmers started teaching at-home swim lessons in 1991 in Los Angeles, with 22 clients. In 1993 we began serving Phoenix, based in Scottsdale. We are the largest and longest established mobile lifeguard service company Valleywide.

I’ve actually been teaching for only one year but I’ve co-taught with many instructors when I was a junior lifeguard & that’s was for 3 summers.
I have my lifeguard, first aid & Water Safety Instructor Certifications.
When I was younger I did swim team for 5 summers as well as a year of swim team in highschool. 1 summer of sychro swimming. I also speak Spanish.
I always want to have the children enjoy what I’m teaching & always want them to want to come back & come ready to learn something new!

I am Red Cross certified in WSI, Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid. I spent the past 5 years guarding at a facility with six large pools and several people attending every day. I placed in the top three teams for Utah Lifeguard Games for several years. I swam competitively for seven years and was an assistant high school swim team coach for three years. I love keeping individuals safe in and around the pool.

Jill Jensen comes from a long swimming background and loves working with children. She has over 7 years of experience teaching children to swim. Not only does she love teaching entry level swimmers, Jill swam in high school and thoroughly enjoys teaching swim stroke techniques to swim team level children. Jill attended California Lutheran University where she studied education and played water polo. She graduated in 2008 and continued her education and in 2010 she received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials. In 2012 she received her Master of Education in Teacher Leadership. I tried another company the year before I tried Happy Swimmers and although the kids learned swim safety, they were bored and did not learn how to enjoy the pool. Trisha got our son, who did not really like swimming, having fun and by the end of last year could swim the entire length of the pool on his own. This summer I reviewed several in-home companies and was impressed with Happy Swimmers approach of water safety. Trish worked with my stubborn 2-yr old 2-3 times a week. Within the first lesson he knew how to climb out of the pool and to ask permission before getting in.
