Australia Lifeguard Service
4 Years experience 🙂
As I was born on the coast of Spain, my life has been connected to water sports since I was a child. I took up lifeguarding several years ago when I started working for Red Cross on some beaches around my city, Bilbao. I have just moved to Australia and started to perform lifeguarding as my main profession. I am so glad I did so because my life has changed completely for the better. I am so happy and cheerful and ready to transmit this enthusiasm for your guests.
I have 3 years of Lifeguarding experience and have performed multiple rescues during that time. I am new to private events but feel as if I have plenty of experience from previous centres to know how to work and communicate well with children. In my experience as a lifeguard, I have always found it fun to actively engage with patrons whilst also ensuring their safety in the water and so I will take it up myself to not only ensure your child’s safety but to also make sure that they’re having a fun time in the water.

Hey everyone 🙂 my name is Chantelle and I’ve been lifeguarding at my local pool for 1 year, I also volunteer at Kirra beach to do patrols on the weekend, This will be my 3rd year. I love life guarding to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time, I also love socialising and meeting new people so hopefully I’ll see you soon.
I’ve been a surf lifesaver at Kirra Beach going on 3 years plus almost 1 year as a pool lifeguard. The most rewarding part of my job is watching everyone smiling and enjoying their time, I love being active and socializing meeting as many new people as possible.

Hi! my name is Danny. I’m 21 and currently reside in Melbourne, Australia. What I have always liked most about lifeguarding, is that you help provide a fun yet safe environment for people of various ages & ethnicity’s to enjoy. I have helped accomplish this at a number of pools and in open water settings within Australia, and I’ve also got experience pool lifeguarding in the United States.
I have previous lifeguard experience at Claremont Pool and the local surf club and safety is my priority. I pride myself on professionalism and precision and aim to bring an enjoyable experience to clients. I’m young and energetic and have lots of experience working with children and aquatic sports. I grew up in rural WA and used to swim in dams and quarries but now much prefer the beaches of Perth.
Jacquline is new to Sydney, having 2 years experience as a lifeguard in Chile. This señorita speaks both English and Spanish and we’re happy to have her on our crew 🙂
Living on Kaua’i island, Hawai’i most of the year, and traveling to Australia, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay, and Houston regularly to lead Lifeguard Courses and CPR training, Jenn has been the director of Happy Swimmers for over 25 years. It is a passion to assist in the empowerment of children learning how to swim in a medium once considered a fearful, uncertain place, magically turned into a supportive, fun environment to be explored with friends. The same goes for lifeguarding and training new lifeguards–there is no greater inner joy either in saving someone’s life as a lifeguard, or teaching others how to perform lifesaving skills. It is an honor for me to watch my students grow–where once there was doubt or panic, now there is strength and confidence.
Thank you for looking to become a Happy Swimmer!

Hi! I’m Luke Hughes, I have been a lifeguard for 2 concurrent summers now and have loved every minute of it. The best thing about lifeguarding is just being in the outdoors, in the sun, and having the wonderful responsibility of kids and fellow people around you. It’s such a rewarding and fulfilling job and I enjoy it to the fullest. My hobbies are staying fit, socializing with close friends and relaxing and watching tv series’ in some downtime. :).
I’ve been involved with Surf Life Saving for over 10 years and have volunteered as a lifesaver for over 5 years. After completing High School I obtained my Lifeguarding qualification and have continued to serve as a lifeguard at my local pool for just over 2 years. Lifeguarding/lifesaving to me is crucial for the prevention of drownings and other related injuries/deaths in Australia and world wide. To be in the position that enables me to make a difference to the community means a great deal. Prevention is key, especially in Australia given that we’re surrounded by water! I strive to always be professional on the job but also to make sure I have some fun!
I serve the Perth Metro communities of Floreat, City Beach, Scarborough, Trigg, and Wembley, among others.
I have been a lifeguard for the past seven years. I have enjoyed working in Geelong and Tasmania at a variety of indoor and outdoor pools. I am now based in Bondi which is perfect for someone who loves anything to do with water and the outdoors. I have volunteered as a swimming coach and a surf therapist for children with and without disabilities since 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I find providing first aid and lifesaving to the community extremely rewarding, and most importantly being involved in all the fun that goes with being around the water. I think providing a safe and enjoyable environment at pool parties is the perfect gig!
Common areas I serve include Bondi, Sydney, etc.
Extra certifications I hold: WETS water aerobics instructor course, PADI scuba diving certified, First Aid Level 2, Mental Health First Aid

I’ve been an Australian Bondi Surf Lifesaver since 2008 with a certification in Rescue Boat lifesaving. I am passionate about first aid and survival skills and when I’m lifeguarding I pride myself on safety and prevention. I initially became a volunteer lifeguard because it was a way to give back to the community and be part of a Surf lifesaving club that has given 109 years of service.

Yumi and Jere were wonderful lifeguards when they guarded our end of year pool party on Wednesday June 11 from 11-2. They were in touch with me, were on time and prepared, and were very responsible and knowledgeable. I was so happy to be able to put two adults in charge of our fourth grade class party.
Based on my experience with Yumi Temple and her cohort Jere, I would highly recommend Happy Swimmers.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. So happy we used your business.
Hi Jenn.. wow today was really scary. I had to use my first aid skills on my mom! We work at the same preschool & she had an allergic reaction & went into shock! I did everything I remembered until the paramedics came.. I really can’t thank you enough for teaching me everything I needed to know!
Everything about my experience with Happy Swimmers has been amazing! From the scheduling to the fantastic teacher they sent for my 5 and 6 year old. The instructor, Emma, had to contend with 2 very different personalities along with 2 different levels of swimming experience. She was more than equipped to deal with that and gave each child unparalleled support, encouragement and instruction. I highly recommend this service to all parents that want to give their child a great experience in being water safe!
We have three kids ages 7, 4, and 2 & 1/2. This was our second year having Happy Swimmers, with instructor Trisha Commons, come teach our kids (the two oldest) to swim. I tried another company the year before I tried Happy Swimmers and although the kids learned swim safety, they were bored and did not learn how to enjoy the pool. Trisha got our son, who did not really like swimming, having fun and by the end of last year could swim the entire length of the pool on his own.
Trisha is great with the kids and is flexible in her teaching style to work with different personalities. She is able to get the kids confident in their abilities and teaches them how to swim, but also teaches them how to have fun! I will definitely be asking Happy Swimmers and Trisha to teach the kids again next year.
I have a toddler and a pool and wanted to make sure my son learned water safety. After taking some group classes last summer, I knew I wanted more one-on-one attention at our home. This summer I reviewed several in-home companies and was impressed with Happy Swimmers approach of water safety.
Trish worked with my stubborn 2-yr old 2-3 times a week. Within the first lesson he knew how to climb out of the pool and to ask permission before getting in. Although our goal was to get him water comfortable more than “swimming”, he indeed learned to swim within a few weeks. We extended our lessons and really appreciated Trish’s approach. We will sign up again next summer. Many of our friends with children happened to be present on several lessons and I expect they will also sign up next summer as well.
Hired a happy swimmers for private life guard for a party for over 200 people at my house. The lifeguard was great. She called to confirm before, came on time, and stayed later then we originally signed up because the party went over. She also showed up on time despite there being a black out that because of storms the day before. I highly recommend Happy Swimmers.
