We do this by providing the highest quality, most experienced, liability insured, professional lifeguards in the country. Our lifeguards for hire serve a variety of functions: children’s pool parties (our specialty), weddings around pools, entertainment industry shoots, and corporate event parties, Happy Swimmers Australia provides an incredible staff for all of these needs. All staff are nationally certified lifeguards with an average experience of 5 years, many at high volume locations. These are pros, not charming but inexperienced high schoolers. Wherever there is a pool involved in Brisie, its suburbs, Sunnie and Goldie, Byron (and the other towns of SE QLD), we have staff ready to serve you professionally to maintain a safe and fun environment.
Special Grand Opening Price for up to 3 hours is $224! Over 3 hours: add $37/half hour per lifeguard. Feel free to keep the guards over your original booking pending their schedule and our office will send you a balance due which can be paid by credit card, like your deposit. The booking form on the next page will easily calculate your cost based on your party length and amount of lifeguards. We’re a cheap alternative to an accident.

Just recently, one of our lifeguards made 4 rescues to children at a busy pool party. The parents thanked us for being there. We love keeping the kids (and adults) safe so you can enjoy your party. Come be a Happy Swimmer!

4 Years experience 🙂
As I was born on the coast of Spain, my life has been connected to water sports since I was a child. I took up lifeguarding several years ago when I started working for Red Cross on some beaches around my city, Bilbao. I have just moved to Australia and started to perform lifeguarding as my main profession. I am so glad I did so because my life has changed completely for the better. I am so happy and cheerful and ready to transmit this enthusiasm for your guests.
I have 5+ years lifeguarding experience!
Hi I’m Emily and I’m a neuroscience major at Tulane University in New Orleans. During the summers I live on Long Island. I am a certified EMT in New York State. My goal is to go to medical school after I graduate.
I love to swim, it’s one of my favorite things to do ever since I was a baby. My mother even calls me a fish! I love being a lifeguard and watching people swim and making sure they stay safe. To me, lifeguarding isn’t a job – rather a hobby – I get to be by a pool all the time – it’s my happy place.
I serve the New Orleans area when back at school, and in early to mid summer, the NYC Tri-State Area/ Long Island communities of Manhattan, Queens, Great Neck, and Hamptons, among others.
8 years lifeguarding experience!
I have worked as a lifeguard in busy inner city swim centres in Sydney as well as laid back pools in the Northern Territory of Australia. I just enjoy being around water and seeing people active and enjoying themselves. I am also a keen surfer and beach goer.
Typical areas I cover: Byron Bay and Goldie and when in Sydney: Sydney North Shore, Northern Beaches and Upper North Shore
Living on Kaua’i island, Hawai’i most of the year, and traveling to Australia, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay, and Houston regularly to lead Lifeguard Courses and CPR training, Jenn has been the director of Happy Swimmers for over 25 years. It is a passion to assist in the empowerment of children learning how to swim in a medium once considered a fearful, uncertain place, magically turned into a supportive, fun environment to be explored with friends. The same goes for lifeguarding and training new lifeguards–there is no greater inner joy either in saving someone’s life as a lifeguard, or teaching others how to perform lifesaving skills. It is an honor for me to watch my students grow–where once there was doubt or panic, now there is strength and confidence.
Thank you for looking to become a Happy Swimmer!

I started Lifeguarding 18 years ago and have worked in all aspects of the aquatic industry. I love it. The people I meet, the kids that I get to encourage to be active, safe and still have fun in and around water, people from all walks of life. I learned how to swim when I was 2 – 3 years old.
General area I serve: Gold Coast
Hi! I’m Luke Hughes, I have been a lifeguard for 2 concurrent summers now and have loved every minute of it. The best thing about lifeguarding is just being in the outdoors, in the sun, and having the wonderful responsibility of kids and fellow people around you. It’s such a rewarding and fulfilling job and I enjoy it to the fullest. My hobbies are staying fit, socializing with close friends and relaxing and watching tv series’ in some downtime. :).
Hi! My name is Nigel and I am from the Gold Coast, Australia. Having grown up on the coast for the best part of my life, surfing and lifesaving have played an integral part of my life here. Lifeguarding has been for the most part a rewarding job for me both here in Australia and abroad for almost 20 years now. I serve Goldie and Byron. Cheers!

Water has been my backyard since I was born and have been Lifeguarding for over 15 years. I have a passion for keeping people safe in all types of water so people can enjoy themselves! Lifeguarding has the opportunity to impact other peoples’ lives and make a difference in the community. It is a huge responsibility for me, but also a huge honour. Fun Facts: Wanted to be a race car driver when I was growing up, Australian Squash Champion and played Presidents Cup for Manly.
