I’ve been a swim instructor and coach at Norwood Swim School since late 2017 working in both the learn to swim and competitive squad programs. Prior to that I was a swimmer myself, competing at a national level for more than 5 years.

Hello guys!
I have experience in almost every type of swimming pool environment, including film/tv sets, 5 star health clubs, private pools and I have been working with children for many years as a swimming teacher and pool supervision. I have experience of managing Lifeguards and how to deal with emergencies and first aid. I love being a Lifeguard because it is a very demanding job and rewarding, it is my job to make sure people stay safe and most of all, they are enjoying themselves in the water. I love what I do and to gain experience I have moved from England to Australia so I have both lifeguard qualifications and several other certifications in the aquatic environment.  Fun fact: I’m a personal chef too!

I have over 5 years experience as a swimming teacher with children and adults off all ages. Being able to teach people how to swim is a very rewarding job and I enjoy what I do. Swimming was my passion since I was a little child and always loved jumping into the pool. Now I try to share my passion with everyone that likes to learn how to swim, from beginners to athletes, from toddlers to children that train for a specific swim competition.
What I like most about teaching how to swim is the gratefulness of everyone after and during the swim lessons. That could have been a new skill learned, a game played or some rewarding feel after a good workout in the water.
Apart from loving to swim, I do like to run long distance ultra marathons (100km + events). The joy of being out in nature, the fresh air, the sun, the rain, I never seem to get enough of.

8 years lifeguarding experience!

I have worked as a lifeguard in busy inner city swim centres in Sydney as well as laid back pools in the Northern Territory of Australia. I just enjoy being around water and seeing people active and enjoying themselves. I am also a keen surfer and beach goer.

Typical areas I cover:  Byron Bay and Goldie  and when in Sydney: Sydney North Shore, Northern Beaches and Upper North Shore

20 Years of Experience as a Swim Instructor and CPR Instructor

2 years as a Lifeguard

I have taught all sorts of swimming techniques including underwater swimming, ocean swimming and kids and adults. I love sharing my passion for the water with others and love attending the parties to provide an enjoyable service for everyone.

I have just arrived in Australia from the UK, with over six years of teaching experience there. I’ve just finished my degree in Politics & International Relations, and fitted swim teaching around my studies and other commitments as a hobby. I love seeing people progress, whether they’re eight weeks or eighty-seven years, an elite athlete or just a beginner!

I have taught a variety of age groups and strokes, mainly with 3-7 year-olds, but have always kept a squad group to keep my higher-level skills up. I love forming a relationship with my clients, and my cheerful nature tends to put even nervous beginners at ease. I’m happiest when my clients leave with a smile on their face having improved over the session.

I’ve been a water person all my life, therefore I understand the importance of water safety and to enjoy any water environment with confidence and appreciation. So I love sharing my knowledge and passion of the water, so that others can also experience the please and joy from swimming!
What I love the most about teaching, is witnessing someone develop their confidence and abilities from zero to hero!
