Austin Lifeguard for Hire Service

Lifeguard Service

It’s smart to hire a lifeguard for a party, and we’re the company to help you make your next pool party in Austin the safest possible.

We work in many Southwest cities, with the aim of truly preventing many of the drownings and near-drowning accidents that are common in unsupervised swimming pools.

Your next water gathering should be fun and carefree. Without a lifeguard on duty, though, it could quickly become a tragedy. Drownings and poolside injuries are more common than you might think. It’s estimated that 10 people drown in the United States each day. More than one in five of these victims are children under the age of 12. Whether you’re hosting a birthday party or a backyard barbecue, hiring a lifeguard for your next event is the best way to make your pool party in Austin the safest possible.

We are the largest private lifeguard service in the country and locally serve the Austin TX Metro area with a dedicated staff. Each of our lifeguard jobs in Austin is filled by an individual who is well qualified, experienced, and certified.

Price for up to 3 hours is $189 for one lifeguard.  Need additional coverage? Price drops to $174 for each additional lifeguard. Over 3 hours add $25/half hour per lifeguard.  Feel free to keep the guards over your original booking time pending their schedule.  Our office will bill you.  The booking form on the next page will easily calculate your cost based on your party length and amount of lifeguards.  We’re a cheap alternative to an accident.  Just recently, one guard made 4 rescues to children at a busy party.  Think their parents thought he was worth it?

Austin

I am entering my 5th year of lifeguarding. I have lifeguarded at a variety of pools and water parks. I love being able to be a lifeguard, because I love being able to be outside while making sure people are having fun and safe at the same time in the water. Throughout my years of being a lifeguard, I have had the opportunity to be a part of a management team for a local water park. With being in management, I have had the opportunity to develop a high level of customer service, while maintaining a high level of lifeguarding.

Outside of lifeguarding, I have been a competitive swimmer for 12 years now, and I swim for Maryville University, in St. Louis. I am currently pursuing a Criminal Justice degree. Outside of school, I love being outside. I enjoy playing a variety of sports with my friends, going on hikes, and just enjoying the outdoors.

Chris, Lifeguard, Soccer Fanatic

Avery Ranch

Hi, my name is Chris Perks. I’ve been swimming competitively for 9 years and have 2 years lifeguarding experience with CPR, AED, and first-aid certification.

I love ending my day at work knowing I created a safe and enjoyable pool environment. I have lifeguarded at various sized parties (even exceeding over 120 swimmers) and a wide variety of events. I believe a great lifeguard realizes the situation before it happens and takes action to prevent any situation from getting worse.

My composure under stress and observance resulted in the 5 rescues I had my first week as a guard (including saving 2 toddlers at once)!

I serve the Austin communities of Round Rock, South Austin, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Pflugerville

Gavin Wagers, Lifeguard for Hire

Austin

To me lifeguarding is less of a job, and more of a responsibility to care for other people. I have been lifeguarding for the past 4 years now, and in my time guarding I have learned a few things. The meaning of hard work, customer service, and above all the importance our job titles carry. To literally guard lives. I love my job, and I love helping people. It is my goal that everyone enjoys their time in the water, while all the while remaining safe.

Katie, Swim Instructor, Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), CPR Instructor Staff, Plant Mama, Art Snob and World Explorer

San Antonio, TX

Anyone can learn how to swim – and more importantly, everyone should now how to be confidant and safe in the water. I have taught children as young as 2, and adults up to 55, and enjoy working with any range of skill level. I have worked with all sorts of conditions, such as down syndrome, aspergers and ADHD. I believe that your experience with water should be special, safe, and most importantly fun!

Since I was first certified at 15, being a lifeguard has been fun, rewarding, and has played a large role in my professional development. Last summer was my first with Happy Swimmers, and I have enjoyed getting a more personal experience with the neighbors of my community, being warmly welcomed into their homes, and providing them the comfort of safety for themselves and their children. I look forward to continue meeting and serving my community, and supporting events that bring people together.

As a LGI at the Recreational Sports aquatic facility at The University of Texas at Austin, I have worked with many ages and group sizes, all within a pool facility. My favorite part of being a lifeguard instructor is figuring out how to make the class fun, since it is quite a long certification process. If I can get my students to laugh, and remember a skill with a joke, then I know I am doing well!

As a CPR instructor for the Recreational Sports of The University of Texas at Austin, I have taught many college students, as well and full time employees. My favorite part of being a CPR instructor is figuring out how to make the class fun – if I can get my students to laugh, and remember a skill with a joke, then I know I am doing well!

Kennedy Teel, Lifeguard and Private Swim Instructor

I have 2 years Swim Instruction, Coaching, & lifeguard experience.

As a swim instructor, I teach kids to not only learn how to swim but to love swimming. I want them to be safe in the water and not depend on anyone else to help them. What I enjoy most about teaching anyone how to swim is seeing their progress and seeing them start to really love swimming and enjoy being in water. I love taking a kid who was originally scared and timid in the water and getting them to absolutely love swimming and love coming to swim lessons. Teaching swim lessons is a very fulfilling job and I love feeling like I have an impact on a child’s life. I still remember my swim instructor from when I first learned how to swim and I hope that the kids I teach will remember me and all I teach them. I have taught over 100 people ranging all different age groups, from as young as 6 months old to adults over 50. I was also a part time swim coach for a summer league team and a year-round team. I’m great with teaching freestyle and backstroke and moderate on teaching the harder strokes breaststroke and butterfly. I have also taught some more experienced kids how to do dives and flip turns. I have taken kids from fearing the water to swimming all the way across a 25-meter pool with no help.

In my 5 years of lifeguarding, I’ve worked at 13 different pools, which means I’ve gotten to meet and work with new people very often. The thing I like most about lifeguarding is getting to know everyone and helping people stay safe while they have fun.

A fun fact about me is that I have run 2 marathons!

Matthew O’Brien

Austin, TX

I’ve had three years of lifeguarding history at three companies. My goal whenever I’m lifeguarding is to prevent as many possible rescues before they even can take place. As I have only had to make one save in the past three years, this could have been a much greater number if had not been vigilant of my surroundings at all times. The thing l like most about lifeguarding events is I’m in charge of so many people’s lives it’s nerve wracking of course but it’s also gives me a sense of authority that when it comes down to it I have to act to save someone’s life.~~great awareness, Matthew and thanks for bringing your A-game 🙂 owner Jenn

Typical areas I serve include: Austin metro: Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park

Mauricio, Lifeguard

Greater San Antonio, 4 years experience!

4 years experience.  General areas I can serve: San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin, College Station

I have been a lifeguard for over 4 years now. It seemed like the best job for me to do since I have been around the water ever since I was a little boy. I love going to these lifeguard events and seeing all the kids having a great time because it reminds me of when I was young and would go to the pool all the time. I love being the ‘cool’ lifeguard that kids can play with but at the same time I always make sure kids are being safe and everything is under control.

Paris Beal, Lifeguard, Cheerleader, Model, and Native Austinite

Austin, TX

I come from an entire family of lifeguards and I love to supervise parties and make sure everyone is having a fun time while staying safe:). My favorite part of lifeguarding is when parents get relief from knowing their children are safe at my pool, and allowing everyone to have a great time! Besides lifeguarding, cheerleading, pageantry, and modeling, I am in Matheletes and memorized the first 63 digits of Pi.

Phillipe Robinson, Lifeguard & BASKETBALL!

I got into the lifeguarding career with the intention to help reduce as many accidents as I could and save as many lives I possible can. Lifeguarding is just another way I want to give back to make sure that everyone stays safe while they have a good time. This intention guided me to get certified and to start looking for lifeguard positions.

Summer Scott, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor & Photography Enthusiast

I have worked as a swim instructor for 3 years and it is one of the most fun jobs that I have had. I love helping children gain confidence in the pool. It is one of the most rewarding feeling in the world to watch a child progress in their swimming ability. I love working with older children between ages 5-12. I have experience working with young children and have been told that I have a talent working with scared children in this age group. I also have experience working with adults of all swimming ability. I am currently a master instructor for Lifetime Fitness.
