Greater Washington DC area served by Happy Swimmers Mobile Lifeguards

Happy Swimmers USA is a 27 year old company of insured, experienced professional lifeguards ready to keep your children’s pool party safe and fun. If you’re in the DC suburbs in Maryland or Northern Virginia, you’re in our service area. We recently lifeguard certified the House of Representatives and Senate Health Club staff (Architect of the Capitol), keeping lawmakers safe (at least while swimming). Trust us to keep an eye out for your kids’ safety too! We suggest one lifeguard for each 15 children of mixed ages and abilities. If the participants are all swimmers (with none under age 3) we can usually allow 20 swimmers per lifeguard.

Price for up to 3 hours is $224 per lifeguard.  Over 3 hours add $28.50/half hour per lifeguard.  Feel free to keep the guards over your original booking time pending their schedule.  Our office will bill you.  The booking form on the next page will easily calculate your cost based on your party length and amount of lifeguards.  We’re a cheap alternative to an accident.  Just recently, one guard made 4 rescues to children at a busy party.  Think their parents thought he was worth it?

Why hire us over another lifeguard company or even the kid down the street? – We are the only lifeguard for hire company that protects you with our insurance for PROFESSIONAL as well as general liability insurance.  Most swim companies carry the minimum general liability (slips and falls) but they don’t carry the more specific professional liability coverage.  God forbid, if an accident happens no matter who’s fault, you want your guard(s) insured for you.  Would you drive a car without proper insurance or go to a doctor who you found didn’t carry malpractice insurance to cut corners?  We cover you and your event, so you can enjoy the party.  Additionally, know that freelancers are completely uninsured. Who checks their backgrounds and lifeguard certification status? Our staff is professionally checked for these. We hire the cream of the crop with the best experience, and with us, you have a team of managers and a company to back you up if someone flakes.

It is my blessing to be able to bring such fine staff to guard your party. By you checking us out here, I already know you see our value. We look forward to serving you and your guests.

I actually started lifeguarding not too long ago! I’ve had a passion for cooking and music, but water was my first love. Since I was around 8 or 9 ( like most of you), my parents decided to put me on a swim team. I saw how the lifeguards looked super cool holding theres tubes and whistles, doing these weird color changes in tubes, it was amazing! The events that Happy Swimmers has the pleasure of attending remind of my childhood when all our friends and family gathered along to splash it out! Here’s something cool 👀. I know how to cook Chicken Curry, a popular dish from across the world!

I have been lifeguarding since I was 16 at summer camp, I am now 20 and lifeguard whenever I am home from school for break. I love to cook and workout and live a healthy lifestyle overall. When I was younger I swam for multiple teams but ultimately chose to focus on Softball in high school and college. When lifeguarding my philosophy is to have as much fun as possible while being safe for the kids. I currently go to GWU and am pursing a major in Political Communications. I am not quite sure what I’m going to do with that but I’m a “figure it out as I go” kind of person so I am excited to see where this major takes me!

Sarah Isela, Lifeguard for Hire, Wellness Coach & Hiking fanatic

Hi, my name is Sarah Isela! There is a quote about lifeguards that says, “A lifeguard is like a storm shelter, you may never need it, but if you do it can be a lifesaver.” During my seven years of lifeguarding, I have been the storm shelter and lifesaver to countless people. My 7 year lifeguarding career began in 2013, when I received my American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Since then, I have gained an incredible amount of experience lifeguarding every year: 2013-2015 at an indoor aquatic center (North Arundel Aquatic Center), 2015-2018 as the beach “Baywatch” of Sandy Point State Park, and 2018-present as a private event lifeguard with Happy Swimmers USA. When I lifeguard, I work to the best of my ability to ensure the safety of everyone. If the time comes that I must become your “lifesaver,” you are in good hands. I have handled over 100 water assists, as well as four serious water rescues over the past five years. I have even received the Superintendent’s Award from the Natural Resources Police (NRP) for assisting in a water rescue of 5 people from a jet skiing accident in the Chesapeake Bay. This is my third year lifeguarding for events, and I look forward to working with you to ensure the safety of all your swimmers!

Serving the WDC communities of Annapolis, Baltimore, Washington D.C. proper, Rockville, among others.

Stephanie, East Coast Lifeguard Assignment Manager and Pack of Jac’s mom

My background is in the legal profession working as a legal secretary for many years. I stopped working to raise two children who are now young adults. My daughter is a teacher in the Portland school district, and my son is an artist who lives on the East coast. For the last twenty-four years, I worked as a Special Education Assistant in the Los Angeles Unified School District. For twenty of those years, I worked with at-risk students and students with special needs at the secondary level. These students resided in a residential facility, and I worked closely not only with the entire school staff but with the social workers and staff at the residential placement. I am excited to be part of the Management Team of Happy Swimmers and look forward to working with you.

Tania, Event Lifeguard, Karaoke Queen and Piano Enthusiast

Washington DC

I have been a lifeguard in the DMV area since 2019. I have worked at different communities, gyms, hotels, and apartment complexes. Through my experience I have learned how to balance safety and fun for all pool patrons. I will admit that at first I was overly cautious (better safe than sorry) but after some time I was able to create an enjoyable environment for everyone. I enjoy working as a lifeguard because I love seeing families enjoy their time in the summer by the pool. I think learning to swim and being in the water is a valuable skill that everyone should be able to participate in safely. I grew up in Saudi Arabia and as you can imagine it was HOT! at least 6 months out of the year were spent in the pool with friends and I can attribute some of my best memories to those experiences. There was no lifeguard at that time and I’m sure many accidents could have been prevented but as a result I am keenly aware of how some avoidable accidents can happen around the pool. I’m excited to be working as an event lifeguard with Happy Swimmers this year and I look forward to provide a safe and fun summer for kids again.
